Meet the friendly staff at Western Veterinary Hospital!

  • Casey Fussell
    D.V.M.
    Dr. Fussell graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He has owned and operated Western Veterinary Hospital since 1994. His special interests include surgery, dermatology and allergies in cats and dogs. He has been a Humane Society board member since 2007. He currently has a dog, 'Gabi' and a cat named 'Cricket'.
  • Christina Mitchell
    D.V.M.
    Dr. Mitchell graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She has served as a Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue board member and volunteer veterinarian since 2010. She has worked for Western Veterinary Hospital since 2000 where she started out as a technician. She has two daughters, two dogs and three cats.
  • Heather Yates
    Lead Surgical Technician LVT

    Heather is the lead surgical technician. She has worked here since September of 2014 but has been a veterinary technician since 1998. She has been a technician in 6 different states and for 3 years ran her own canine bed bug scent detection company. Heather has 2 children and 3 dogs.

  • Missy Redford
    Veterinary Technician

    Missy graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Zoology. She plans to attend vet school to pursue her passions of practicing small and exotic veterinary medicine. She has worked at Western Veterinary Hospital since May of 2016. Fun fact: She has a Great Dane, 3 cats, 2 chinchillas, a lizard and a snake.

  • Baylie McDougal
    Veterinary Technician/Receptionist
    Baylie graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2016 with a degree in Animal Science. She has worked at Western Veterinary Hospital since September of 2016. Fun fact: She enjoys hot sauce and has a dog named 'Max'.
  • Maggie Sougles
    Vet Tech

    Maggie is a returning member of the Western Vet Hospital Team. She plans to apply to vet school and wants to have a mixed animal practice. Fun fact: she does not like hot sauce.

  • Katelyn Morley
    Veterinary Technician
    Katelyn is pursuing an Animal Science Degree at OSU, with plans of starting an equine practice in the future. Katelyn has 3 horses and a dog named Dallie. Fun fact: She is a farrier for clients around the Stillwater area and is a part of the OSU rodeo team competing in barrel racing.
  • Rylee Plummer
    Receptionist

    Rylee is a student at Oklahoma State University working towards a degree in animal science and plans to attend vet school. She is the newest member of the Western Vet Hospital team. Fun Fact: She is a State Officer for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls Oklahoma Jurisdiction

  • Addison Jordan
    Vet Tech

    Addison is one of the newest members of our staff. She is currently pursuing her Animal Science degree with a pre-vet emphasis. Fun fact: Due to allergies, she cannot eat anything fun.

  • Ramee Aranda
    Vet Tech and Receptionist

    Ramee is another new member of the Western Vet Hospital Team. Ramee is a biotechnology major and plans to apply for vet school. Fun Fact: her highschool class consisted of 5 people.
