Meet the friendly staff at Western Veterinary Hospital!

  • Casey Fussell
    D.V.M.

    Dr. Fussell graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He has owned and operated Western Veterinary Hospital since 1994. His special interests include surgery, dermatology and allergies in cats and dogs. He has been a Humane Society board member since 2007. He currently has a dog, 'Gabi' and 2 cats; 'Cricket' and 'Little Dude'.

  • Christina Mitchell
    D.V.M.

    Dr. Mitchell graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She has served as a Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue board member and volunteer veterinarian since 2010. She has worked for Western Veterinary Hospital since 2000 where she started out as a technician. She has two daughters, three dogs and two cats.

  • Kennedy Cure
    Veterinary Technician/Receptionist

    Kennedy is pursuing a degree in Animal Science at OSU. She hopes to attend veterinary school and run her own small animal practice one day. She has a dog named Bentley and hopefully will be adding a kitty to her fur family. Fun Fact: On her days off Kennedy is either at Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue or playing video games.

  • Alex Baker
    Veterinary Technician

    Alex is pursuing a degree in zoology with a pre-vet influence. She hopes to practice in large and small animals one day.  She has a dog named Max. Fun Fact: Alex drives a 1996 Ford Bronco that's lifted 11 inches off the ground with huge tires. 

  • Emma Massey
    Veterinary Technician

    Emmas is a sophomore at OSU and is majoring in Animal Science with a pre-vet influence. She has one kitty named Harlee. Fun Fact: She has lived in 5 different states. 

  • Margo
    Receptionist

    Margo is our bubbly, full-time veterinary receptionist. She has volunteered and worked in clinics since she was 15 and recently achieved her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at OSU. She hopes to attend vet school in the near future. Margo has an orange tabby cat named Ollie!

  • Tanner
    Veterinary Technician

    Tanner is a full-time veterinary technician who has been working here since the summer of 2019. He possesses an immense passion for animals and is the proud owner of two dogs, Lucy and Spy, and four cats as well. Tanner has received a bachelors degree in Animal Science here at OK State and plans to attend veterinary school in the future.
